Mackavi Martial Arts has combined the effectiveness of both Krav Maga and BJJ into a cohesive self defense system where you will learn to not only defend yourself in a stand-up situation but also if the fight goes to the ground.
Krav Maga incorporates not only the physical aspects of removing the threat, counter attacking and getting away but also the "mind set" that needs to be developed in order to recognize and survive an attack.
If the fight goes to the ground, fine. That is when BJJ comes into the mix. BJJ was founded on the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger and stronger attacker by successfully using leverage and submission techniques.
Our students are taught the above skills through proper use of techniques, combatives and stress drills.
